Ibiza
Balearic Islands (Ibiza Town, San Antonio, Santa Eulària)
The Balearics' nightlife capital — superclub openings, sunset strips and a deep bench of private-pool villas, at its buzziest (and priciest) in August and its calmest in the sun-warm shoulder months.
The full sheet
lodging $$$ · airfare $$- August peak (heat + full-season buzz) all August (Spanish Assumption Aug 15)hottest, busiest, priciest week-for-week — key weekends draw ~30,000 clubbers and villas + flights peak. The honest 'worst week' for crowds and price
- Club opening & closing parties openings late Apr–May; closings mid-Sep–mid-Octopening/closing weekends spike demand and ticket prices (€70–230 for marquee parties); the superclubs — Pacha, Amnesia, Hï, Ushuaïa, UNVRS — drive the whole calendar
- Off-season club shutdown ~Nov–Aprthe superclubs and much of the beach-club scene close; the island turns quiet and residential — lovely for calm, wrong for the nightlife the island is famous for
Best overall
Jun & Sep — warm sea, full club season running, lighter crowds and better prices than the Jul–Aug apex (September has the warmest sea of the year)
Shoulder
May–Jun and Sep–early Oct; clubs open ~late Apr and close mid-Sep–mid-Oct, so Nov–Apr the party island largely hibernates
Peak
Jul–Aug, apex all-August (hottest, busiest, priciest; marquee weekends draw ~30,000 clubbers)
Weather
Mediterranean — hot dry summers (Jul–Aug daytime HIGHS ~30°C/86°F), mild damp winters (Jan ~15°C/59°F highs). Sea swimmable ~Jun–Oct. Little summer rain; autumn (Oct–Nov) is the wettest. Highs 59–86°F. Rain: low May–Sep; wettest Oct–Dec.

Access & safety
small island; resort towns and beach-club strips are fairly flat, but Ibiza Town's old town (Dalt Vila) is a steep cobbled hill and many coves are rocky · stroller/wheelchair: resort areas generally OK; Dalt Vila and rocky coves less so
tap water: meets EU standards and safe short-term, but desalinated and salty-tasting — most residents and visitors drink bottled/refillable; fine for teeth, showering and cooking · altitude risk: none · uv heat: high summer UV · water safety: generally calm, warm Med water; occasional jellyfish blooms (Pelagia) possible — check local beach flags
