Adriatic swimmable ~late May–October (warmest Jul–Sep). Highs 55–86°F. Rain: low Jun–Aug; wettest Oct–Dec.

DBV (Dubrovnik Airport, Čilipi) — seasonal nonstop (EWR, summer) / 1-stop rest of year (One seasonal US nonstop — United EWR–DBV (~May–Oct). Otherwise connect via a European hub (Frankfurt, Vienna, Munich, London, Istanbul) or via Zagreb on Croatia Airlines. ~9–10h nonstop when it runs.)

the Old Town is polished marble/limestone (the Stradun is slick when wet) with steep stepped side streets; the city walls are a stair climb; cars are banned inside · stroller/wheelchair: high friction inside the walls (steps everywhere); region villas and the flatter Stradun/Pile approach are easier
